Celebrating 50 years of fine, rare & collectable books     1974 - 2024

Penguin Classics

Founded by E.V. Rieu in 1946, Penguin Classics has grown into a world-famous series, greatly loved and enthusiastically collected almost everywhere. After many changes of structure and design the series continues alive and well, though our stock concentrates on the first 125 titles ('the originals') from 1946-1962.

Despite the series' popularity, clean copies of first editions in wrappers are surprisingly difficult to come by; we hope you find here what you're looking for.
