EDITION LIMITED TO 225 NUMBERED COPIES (THIS COPY NO. 109). A PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR WITH HIS SIGNED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON FRONT INSIDE WRAPPER. With two contemporary and relevant documents loosely inserted. George Harrison was Overseas Correspondent of the World Citizenship Movement, which grew out of (and later incorporated) the World Foundation (1936), World Unity Movement (1938) and the Service Nation Movement (1940). The Movement aimed at rebuilding international trust and relationships in the aftermath of WWII. The present work presents an account of his travels through Germany, Italy and France in 1948, and includes interesting detail of immediate-post-war conditions and personalities in those countries, together with transcripts of letters from contemporary notables. As a member of the Movement's Executive Committee the author was provided with a letter of introduction by Hugh Schonfield, the Movement's Vice-Chairman. Extremely scarce.
