Elegant copy of this vividly-written (and early) personal account of the Fall of France. Working in a Parisian theatre as Dunkirk fell, the authors joined the French army as ambulance drivers and served throughout the Fall, escaping finally to Britain on the last destroyer to leave Bordeaux.
