With the fine nineteenth century engraved armorial bookplate of Thomas Philip Earl de Grey, of Wrest Park, on front paste-downs. With the contemporary binder's ticket of Smith on front paste-downs. An unusually well-preserved copy in fine period binding of the best edition, revised and extended a year after the first. Marsh's most influential work brought him both public acclaim and a pension from William Pitt. VERY SCARCE.
