THIS COPY IS SIGNED BY ROBERT MALOUBIER ON AN ILLUSTRATED BOOKPLATE MOUNTED ON HALF-TITLE. The story (in some respects a conflation of the author's earlier 'Dericourt' duology) of the ways in which the Germans eased their way into elements of SOE's French network. Includes outline chronology and summary biographies. Captain Robert Maloubier (1923-2015) was an agent of SOE serving with Buckmaster's F (French) Section as part of reseau SALESMAN. He is mentioned in the text as one of a contingent collected by Hudson from Soucelles (Maine-et-Loire) and returned to London. The party should have included Dericourt himself, but standing beside the aircraft he declined his recall and refused to travel. SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. Enser, p.211.
