This interesting period collection is the first of the author's influential 'a la Mode' series; it was first published in 1886 and reprinted at least three times in that year. The fashion for savouries seems to have endured well into the Edwardian period, for the work reached at least a nineteenth impression in 1906. Driver 313.14; not in Cagle.
