Oblong 4to., First Edition, with title in red and black, and 26 fine plates on blue stock with accompanying letterpress; original full brown leather, boards elaborately framed in blind enclosing title in gilt, back with raised bands, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, a remarkably bright, crisp, clean copy.
Sold from a local institution with two neat stamps on blank preliminary only. Valuable and very scarce record of many of the ancient buildings cleared to to make way for late nineteenth-century redevelopment. EXTREMELY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION.
