2 vols., 8vo., First Edition, with engraved portrait frontispieces (one original tissue guard present) and an engraved illustration and several full-page pedigrees in the text, frontispieces mildly damp-marked at margins (not affecting engraved images); attractively bound in contemporary half morocco, marbled boards, backs with five raised bands, all compartments ruled in blind, second and fourth compartments lettered in gilt, all other compartments tooled to a floral design, green endpapers, sprinkled edges, boards age-scuffed else a very good, bright, tight set.
With both half-titles, the separately printed errata slip, and the advertisement leaf at end. The errata slip (for both volumes) is present in the first volume; Wise calls for it to be in the second. The engraved frontispieces depict Wordsworth (engraved by Skelton from Pickersgill) and Dora Wordsworth, Mrs Quillinan (Armytage from Gillies).
