A PRESENTATION SET FROM THE AUTHOR WITH HIS SIGNED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON FRONT FRONT ENDPAPER OF FIRST VOLUME. With a contemporary review loosely inserted. The first volume includes Blunt's schooldays at Marlborough, his post as art master at Haileybury and his appointment as Drawing Master at Eton. The second volume covers twenty-one years as Drawing Master; the two volumes together paint an unforgettable picture of Britidh public school life in the 1920s and beyond. Blunt was author of the New Naturalist volume 'The Art of Botanical Illustration' (1950); his brother Anthony was the art historian and latterly exposed spy for Russia. The endpapers of the second volume reproduce a famous caricature by Bateman.
