[of 5], 8vo., text in French, on laid paper; strongly bound in contemporary French tree calf, sides with decorative frame border, blue marbled endpapers (vols. 3,4,5) , second and fourth compartments with red leather labels ruled, lettered and numbered in gilt, marbled edges, Vol. 2 robustly rebacked with sides and backstrip laid on later cloth and green endpapers, all joints moderately rubbed (but all bindings wholly sound), a remarkably, bright, crisp, clean working run.
Sold from a religious institution with its bookplate and press-mark on front paste-downs, and neat stamp variously on half-titles, titles and final leaves.
