A PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR TO CAPTAIN WILLIAM ('BILL') MAKEIG-JONES AND HIS WIFE DOROTHY, WITH THE AUTHOR'S SIGNED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER. LOOSELY INSERTED IS A T.L.s FROM EVANS ('Signal Department, Admiralty, Admiralty House, Chatham'} dated 5 March 1937. Makeig-Jones served as Flag Captain and Chief of Staff to Evans at Simonstown Naval Base.
