Published a month after the first edition. The first account of 'Madeleine', one of the (now) best-known SOE agents operating in Occupied France. Fuller was a close friend of Khan; compiling this biography led ultimately to her well-known (and controversial) trilogy detailing fatal errors in the management of SOE's F Section. Jepson was a senior recruiting officer for SOE. A revised version of this work was issued as 'Born for Sacrfice' in 1957. VERY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. Enser, p.397; Foot, p.461.
