8vo., First Edition thus, with frontispiece (original tissue guard present) and 14 plates; original pictorial red cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked in black and lettered in gilt, bevelled edges, gilt top, red endpapers, uncut, upper hinge cracked (but binding entirely sound), a remarkably, bright, crisp copy.
With personal bookplate on front paste-down. In rendering the passages quoted from the Chronicles into English, the translator has followed, wherever it has been found possible, Lord Berner's version of 1523.
